The Chronicler is the first quest in Panfu, after the Tutorial Tour. In this adventure the pandas are told a story about Panfu, that took place in early 2011. The quest consists of the panda gathering stories about the merging of Panfu and Bitterland for Hamelot. It must be completed in order to unlock Spies in Bitterland.

- It is the only quest where you can meet Momo and Hamelot.
- The quest was released April 8, 2011.
- The quest was the second lesson in the Panfu Lessons list.
- The quest still uses the icon for the lessons in the "What should we talk about?" list.
- It also still gives the pandas the quest book after the quest, even though the pandas already get it from Max during the Tutorial Tour.
- The quest's assets were worked on from February 2, 2011 to April 7, 2011.
- Hamelot's quiz was changed on September 24, 2012.
